Poncho Artist Series - Kai & Sunny

L’Atlas, born Jules Dedet Granel in 1978, is a French artist whose work blends calligraphy, optical art, graffiti, and geometric minimalism. Influenced by an upbringing surrounded by art books and cinema, he began tagging in Paris in the early 1990s and developed a fascination for letterforms

After studying with master calligraphers in Morocco, Egypt, Syria, China, and Japan, he gained recognition in 2001 thanks to agnès b., exhibiting alongside major street artists. His signature black- and-white visual language symbolizes balance, light and shadow, and draws from both art history and ancient writing systems.
Known for large-scale public installations and collaborations with brands like Perrier, agnès b., and Jimmy Choo, L’Atlas views art as an integral part of the urban landscape, expanding from flat surfaces into architectural space. Recently, he founded Galerie Liminal in Les Lilas, a space dedicated to urban artists exploring abstract, gestural, and optical art.

On this L’Atlas collab Poncho, the artwork explores geometry, perspective, and optical tension. Sharp lines and structured forms interact with light and shadow, creating a shifting visual rhythm that evolves with movement. Rooted in street art and graphic minimalism, the design transforms the poncho into a bold architectural surface—precise, dynamic, and unmistakably urban.
Crafted with a 100% polyester exterior, the poncho is lightweight and enhances the graphic contrasts of the artwork. Its oversized cut and open sides allow for effortless wear, while the 100% cotton terry lining and generous hood deliver warmth and comfort after a surf session, swim, or any water-based activity.

Blending function with attitude, the poncho features a chest pocket with an integrated key loop, keeping essentials secure as you move to the beach or the pool.
